Singing in the rain...

I have heard many great things about Glee, but never really had the desire to watch

it before...

but, I heard it was Gwyneth Paltrow and something about the Rhianna "Umbrella" song...

so I was intrigued...

OH.MY.GOSH.!!!!  It is soooooo good!

I am assuming that all the Glee's are like this, so I just might have to watch another one...:)

This picture just stopped me in my tracks...

but, when I look at it, it makes me want to put on a ball gown and dance...and twirl around...

Join me in a *December Daily*...

A friend recently asked me to join her this year in creating a December Daily scrapbook.

At first, I thought...no way, I don't have time for something like that...my son is 4 1/2 and I still have yet to complete even 1 YEAR of his life in a scrapbook...

But, it intrigued me...so I decided to dig further...
& I am sooo glad I did!...

I can sooooooooooooooo do this!
How fabulous to take a little bit of my day to put together a scrapbook counting down the days of the month I LOVE more than any other...

& how fabulous for my son to have one day when I am looong gone...
(hopefully, that is a really long time from now...) 

So, *deep breath*...I am diving in and getting set up...
I figure, I have 2 weeks to get my book started...dig out all my scrapbook stuff sitting in my hall closet...and GET CREATIVE!!!

I'll let you know how it goes!...

(that seem to fly by faster and faster each year...)

In Search Of...

So, as you know, I am re-doing my Dining Room....

Well, I am re-doing every room...all the time...but, currently I am focusing on my Dining Room

I found a vintage buffet on Craigslist the other day (for $250...which is a STEAL for a buffet of this size!) and I am picking it up from the cutest English couple! 
I am always a little leary about Craigslist and try to be really careful when buying or selling, but (so far) I have met the kindest people!

Here is a pic of the buffet that I will be painting white, distressing, and adding some sparkly knobs!  yay

It's a great old piece that has character and with a little tlc, will be PERFECT!

So...a couple weekends ago I picked up 2 wingback chairs for $100!!! on Craiglist (& only a 20 min drive;) that I am going to recover (when I get the money)

in Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic White Denim...*swoon*... 

Between the new buffet and the wingback chairs...

my dining room is coming together!!!!

Giada's Food and Fashion...

I love Giada...

her and Ina are two of my favorite Saturday morning girlfriends...

A cup of coffee...a little breakfast with E...and we sit down to watch my absolute favorite...

Food TV...

I NEVER get sick of watching Giada prepare some sort of wonderful Italian feast...

Her simplicity, love of food, and sharing it with her girlfriends is what makes me coming back each and every week to watch...

She incorporates her Italian background with some new American twists...

she is just the cutest thing!
