First day of school...

  If you can't tell from all my previous posts ;)  ...I LOVE September. 

The anticipation of school...the colors just beginning to touch the leaves on the trees...the crispness in the air from the open windows...the wonderful fall foods...

We came home a day early from up north to run last minute errands, clean up the house, and just get Ethan relaxed before his day at his new school. 

It was a wonderful day...

My fabulous hubby made his famous homemade French Onion Soup...French Bread and Olive oil...and a nice glass of Red Wine...

Ethan was soooo excited for his first day of preschool today!

He got up, watched some Phineas and Ferb...ate pancakes in the kitchen (breakfast at home is new for us)!...then off to school!  We walked in, he showed his new teacher (Mrs. Angel) his Spiderman backpack (his Batman one is on backorder until Oct...of course), they exchanged spidy web hands...he gave me two GIANT hugs...kissed me goodbye...and ran over to the table to play legos...

...I started to cry...

Mrs. Angell says "that was great!  it's always harder on the parents..now go get a coffee!"...

so I left...

I couldn't help wondering if he knew that I left?...would he turn around 10 minutes from then and realize that I was gone...?  would he be sad...?  would he find a friend...? who will he sit with at lunchtime...?

for now, I haven't gotten any phone calls...so I am just hoping that he is having a BLAST!!!!!

Fall is creeping in...

something about this room ...

the glam of the dress...the coziness of the bed...the warmth of the fire...the sensual reflection of the chandelier and the painting...the starkness of the bare, cream walls...

I just love it.

my dream kitchen...

the contrast between the black and white...masculine and feminine...

& I love the table at the center of the room...I could just imagine my family hanging out there while I cook up something fabulous...!

*working it out*...

This has been a rough week for me...
life is tricky...interesting...torturous...exciting...destructive...exhilarating...depressing...& at times a bit lonely...

but, I am working it out...

So, for now, I am just going to sip my gatorade and walk around in my pretty pink fur... ;)

stuck...

I'm stuck...

I'm stuck because my life is happening all around me (and believe me, I am present...most of the time), but I just can't seem to get past the want...the desire...the craving...
the gosh darn starvation of missing another child in my home...a sibling for my son...

&

I know, I know...be thankful for what you have...a beautiful little boy (I agree wholeheartedly)...maybe it is all for a reason (yeah, maybe...you could be right)...just embrace having one (I already do)...some people can't ever have any (and I feel terrible for them)...

&

I know that all sorts of people grow up without siblings...and they say they never noticed a thing...but, I NOTICE...I KNOW what could be missing...

&

actually, I am not going to say that it is all for E to have a sibling...it is for ME to have a full house...a house full of chaos...and love...and fights...and yelling...and laughter...and footsteps...and children yelling mama all day long...and to be visited when I am old and grey by my children and their new families...and to hold all my grandkids in my arms and tell my children to "go...have fun, your father and I will watch them"...

I'm stuck...

you can't possibly understand...and I have absolutely NO IDEA how to even explain it...

I LOVE my days...my family...my life...

but, there is a hole...and I try to fill it sometimes...with God knows what...sometimes even I don't even know what I am doing...

sometimes, it's not really healthy...or right...but, it's the only way I know how to try to fix it...

I'm stuck...

it's a fire that cannot be put out by anyone else...

only me...

when I am ready...

if that day ever comes...

for now...I am happy...I promise...

*the lovely sienna*...

I watched the movie "Alfie" again with Jude Law and Sienna Miller recently and forgot how darn cute they both are!  I LOVE her outfits and hair in this movie (well, all of them really)...

She is my inspiration for this Fall!  Tousled hair, slightly eccentric outfits, fur, leather, dresses...oh my!!
